​Congratulations Sr. Frances!
 Recipient of the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell's Peace Award for 2020!

Sr. Frances Salemi, Sacred Heart School's steadfast, indomitable and boundlessly generous Principal was awarded the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell 's Peace Award for 2020. Dominican Sister and long time friend, Sr. Eleanor Uhl, presented the award during a beautiful and moving presentation ceremony viewed (via Zoom) by members of the Dominican Community, Sister Frances's own community, the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth, numerous friends and the countless families and children whose lives Sr. Frances has graced.

​In accepting the award, Sr. Frances commented: ​
"After so many decades in the heart of Jersey City, I have come to understand the profound importance of Peace. Without it, all that is good, nurturing and uplifting - starts to slip away. Peace should be the background of existence, the foundation of every child's life, the ultimate goal of human beings everywhere."
