Sacred Heart School provides
outstanding educational opportunities for children in Grades Pre-K through
8. A breakfast program and after-care are available to assist busy families. The school is administered by the Sisters of Charity, who have long been recognized as educational leaders who promote both academic excellence and strong moral values.
Located
on Bayview Avenue, Sacred Heart School has always been an oasis of peace and
order for children growing up in the
city. Founded in 1913, the school has guided
countless students on the path to
knowledge, values and
spirituality lessons that serve our graduates
well throughout their lives.
We are
extremely proud of the diversity
within our student body and our
faculty. Our students represent a rich mix of cultures, races, religions
and
economic backgrounds. In fact,
approximately 20 of our children or their
parents were born outside the United States. Today's Sacred Heart students hail from a
wide variety of nations including Haiti,
Nigeria, Kenya and the Philippines. We welcome
this diversity and the spirit it brings to our school.
Sacred Heart School is one of an elite group of
elementary schools accredited by
the Middle States Commission on
Elementary Schools, which ensures that member schools provide the highest quality education to their students.
